School of Divinity

The School of Divinity aims to educate and train students for ministerial, educational, and missionary leadership for Christ and His Kingdom through rigorous programs of theological studies and personal and spiritual disciplines. The School seeks to serve Korean/Korean-American churches and the global Christian communities.

With a degree in School of Divinity, you will be able to:   
  • Be faithful interpreters of the Bible, informed by contemporary biblical scholarship in the area of biblical studies, and of the Christian faith and practice, informed by Reformed-evangelical theological heritage and history;
  • Be responsible communicators in diverse social and cultural contexts, informed by ethnic/cultural studies from biblical, missionary, and educational perspectives;
  • Be truthful disciples of Christ, regularly practicing spiritual disciplines and demonstrating spiritual maturity in personal and public realms;
  • Be competent and efficient ministerial leaders in the church and/or other settings.

We are proud to inform you that the Commission accredited the School of Divinity on Accreditation of the Asso- ciation of Theological Schools (ATS). ATS is recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and CHEA. With a solid directionality to establish strategic plans for holistic ministerial achievement, the School of Divinity forecasts a dynamic combination of faith and action in the context of postmodernism and globalization. Let's be faithful and efficient disciples of God, practicing spiritual disciplines while demonstrating spiritual maturity in personal life and the public domain.


Mission Statement

The mission of the School of Divinity, as a theological school following the Reformed-Evangelical tradition, is to educate and train qualified students for ministerial, educational, and missional leadership for Christ and His Kingdom through rigorous professional programs of theological studies and personal and spiritual disciplines. The School's curriculum educates and trains dedicated Christians who seek to serve as ordained ministers, evangelists, missionaries, and other ministry leaders.

Upon Graduation

The graduates are expected to be faithful interpreters of the Bible with Christian faith and practice. With the Reformed-Evangelical heritage and history, The graduates are responsible communicators of various social and cultural studies based on biblical, missional, and educational perspectives; are competent leaders for preaching, worship, counseling, and evangelism; and are truthful Disciples of Jesus Christ.

Degree Program Offered

  • Master of Arts in Christian Education (MACE)
    The MACE program is designed to equip and prepare students to become competent leaders in the educational ministries of the churches.
  • Master of Arts in Mission Studies and World Christianities (MAMSWC)
    The MAMSWC program is designed to integrate academic and practical theology studies into modern mission studies, focusing on urban or global studies.
  • Master of Divinity (M.Div)
    The M.Div. program is designed to educate and train dedicated Christians who seek to serve as ordained minis- ters, evangelists, missionaries, and other ministry leaders.
  • Doctor of Ministry (D.Min)
    The D. Min. program educates experienced ministers seeking to enhance their ministries with advanced theologi- cal understanding and research.
  • Ph. D. in intercultural Studies (Ph.D.)
    The Ph.D. program aims to equip students for the vocations of teaching and research in theological schools, colleges, and universities or the academic study of missional and ministerial practice.
