PROGRAMS

Online Learning offers online or hybrid courses for the Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree programs of the University as well as for the General Education courses. It assures that each online or hybrid course will meet the program learning outcomes as defined in the GCU Catalog.

ACCREDITATION


GCU is authorized to offer online instruction in the State of Georgia by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC). The GCU Planning Department keeps tabs on distance education requirements for other States, and when instruction in additional States becomes necessary, will comply with any and all State regulations regarding distance education. The same is true of any overseas instruction. GCU online learning program is also approved by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) for the School of Christianity and the School of Divinity.

The ABHE Commission on Accreditation’s recognition with the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) includes certificates, diplomas, associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees, including doctoral degree s. The Commission’s scope of recognition with the U.S. Department of Education does not include doctoral education.
