TOEFL PREPARATION COURSES

WHAT IS THE TOEFL TEST?

TOEFL® test (Test of English as a Foreign Language™) measures the ability of nonnative speakers of English to use and understand North American English as it is spoken, written, and heard in college and university settings. The TOEFL® Internet-based test (iBT) tests all four language skills that are important for effective communication: reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THE TOEFL TEST?

Nonnative English speakers at the 11th-grade level or above should take the TOEFL test to provide evidence of their English proficiency before beginning academic work.

ABOUT OUR COURSES

In these courses, students receive instruction and opportunity for practice in the reading skills, listening skills, speaking skills, and writing skills that are measured by the TOEFL iBT test and that are necessary for effective communication and academic success. Instruction and practice closely mirror the actual TOEFL iBT test. This helps students master the skills necessary to achieve the best possible score.
