Georgia Christian University is authorized to offer degree programs in the state of Georgia under the Nonpublic Postsecondary Educational Instutions Act of 1990. 

GCU is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [15935 Forest Rd., Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: 434.525.9539; e-mail:] having been awarded Accredited Status as a Category IV institution by the TRACS Accrediting Commission on November 6, 2012. This status is effective for a period of five years. TRACS is recognized by theUnited States Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

GCU School of Divinity is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) [10 Summit Park Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15275-1110; Phone: 412-788-6505;]. ATS is recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and CHEA.
