Securing Your Online Learning System Account

SECURING YOUR ONLINE LEARNING SYSTEM ACCOUNT

GCU is committed to maintaining the privacy of all its students, but while GCU follows federal regulations regarding the release of student records (see the GCU Catalog section “Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act [FERPA]), securing your online accounts is YOUR responsibility. GCU recommends that students change their Student Information System and Online Learning System passwords regularly.

When you first login to the Online Learning System, you will use your GCU Student ID number as your login ID, and your password, by default, will be your date of birth. GCU recommends that you immediately go to the Personal Information page and change your password, before you do anything else on the site. Visit the National Cyber Security Alliance website at staysafeonline.org for information about creating secure passwords.

GCU cannot be responsible if someone other than you accesses your account because of a weak password, so...
